The Problem
Oxford Hydrogen had a genuinely exciting proposition, a breakthrough catalytic platform pioneering clean hydrogen production alongside high-value chemical co-products.
But operating in one of the most credibility-driven industries around, a strong idea alone wasn't enough.
Founded by Andrew Murphy and preparing to raise a $6.4 million seed round, the company needed a brand identity, a website, and launch materials that could hold their own in front of investors, research partners, and the wider scientific community.
Without years of reputation behind them, every visual touchpoint had to communicate trust, precision, and scientific credibility from day one.
They came to us with:

Our Solution
We started where we always do: understanding the business properly. Oxford Hydrogen completed an in-depth questionnaire before we got on a call together to dig into their vision, their audience, and what they needed the brand to achieve.
Only once we had a clear picture did we pick up a pencil. From there we created moodboards to establish the visual direction, exploring different ways the brand could look and feel before committing to a route.
Once the direction was agreed, we moved into logo concept development, building the mark from the ground up around three deliberate elements: a water droplet representing hydrogen and clean energy, a bold lightning bolt communicating power and innovation, and a hexagon container signalling the precision and scientific rigour at the heart of the business.
A bright electric green paired with deep navy gave the brand the forward momentum and professionalism a fundraising startup needs to project. With the brand identity signed off, we moved straight into designing and building the website.
The landing page was built to be fully responsive across desktop and tablet, covering Oxford Hydrogen's technology highlights, company vision, and a dedicated funding news section to support their seed round.
To complete the launch, we created a suite of social graphics and Zoom backgrounds, giving the team a consistent, professional presence across every digital touchpoint from the moment they went public.
A custom logo mark and full visual identity.
